This highly efficient system removes mill scale, corrosion, rust, old coatings and
other contaminants faster with less manpower and equipment. There is no down-time because with PRD-BLAST's reliability there is no time wasted stopping
and dealing with equipment problems.
In a typical application, 28,000 feet of 21 foot diameter river canal pipe was cleaned
to white metal at 4000 sq ft/hr with PRD-BLAST
allowing the contractor to finish far ahead of schedule. He also eliminated expensive scaffolding during blast
and coating operations.
The system consists of a self-propelled framed cart, rotary head, rotary diffuser,
three venturi nozzles and remote control unit. As the self-propelled unit travels through the pipe. a rotating
head with three venturi nozzles blasts the pipe surface.
Nozzles adjust from 15 to 90° forward or reverse to further improve the efficiency
for specific applications. To maximize cost savings, blast media can be recycled, cleaned, and reused many times
over with a Recovery and Reclaim System.
